Looking for a good book on Jewish philosophy?
What is Jewish thought? Good question. In our view, Jewish thought or
philosophy includes both systematic approaches to life and more specific, or
even seemingly mundane, attempts to address Jewish questions that are on our
minds.
The books below include translations of classic works like Maimonides, Yehuda
Halevi, Rosenzweig, Luzzato, and others, as well as works by modern Jewish
philosophers such as Martin Buber, Emil Fackenheim, Abraham Joshua Heschel, and Joseph
Soloveitchik. Read these, and you'll go very far, indeed.
You'll also see below some books on histories of Jewish thought as well as
