Brotherhood of Warriors: Behind Enemy Lines with a Commando in One of the World's Most Elite Counterterrorism Units (B001Q3KM9Y) - Reviews and Prices
At the age of eighteen, Aaron Cohen left Beverly Hills to prove himself in the crucible of the armed forces. He was determined to be a part of Israel's most elite security cadre, akin to the American Green Berets and Navy SEALs. After fifteen months of grueling training designed to break down each individual man and to rebuild him as a warrior, Cohen was offered the only post a non-Israeli can hold in the special forces. In 1996 he joined a top-secret, highly controversial unit that dispatches operatives disguised as Arabs into the Palestinian-controlled West Bank to abduct terrorist leaders and bring them to Israel for interrogation and trial.
Between 1996 and 1998, Aaron Cohen would learn Hebrew and Arabic; become an expert in urban counterterror warfare, the martial art of Krav Maga, and undercover operations; and participate in dozens of life-or-death missions. He would infiltrate a Hamas wedding to seize a wanted terrorist and pose as an American journalist to set a trap for one of the financiers behind the Dizengoff Massacre, taking him down in a brutal, hand-to-hand struggle. A propulsive, gripping read, Cohen's story is a rare, fly-on-the-wall view into the shadowy world of "black ops" that redefines invincible strength, true danger, and inviolable security.

Fast Paced Look Inside Israeli Special Operations World:
Cohen delivers a fast paced look inside the training and day-to-day life of a special operations soldier in Israel. Prior to reading this book, I had never heard of Sayeret Duvdevan. The amount of time and resources invested in his training seems excessive for such a short period of service, especially for someone who was not native to Israel. Easy to read and filled with interesting details that provides insight into how the Israelis deal with terrorism on a daily basis. According to Cohen..."The... more info
Excellent book:
I was turned onto this book by a co-worker. We are both local law enforcement officers in California. Once I started turning pages, I could not put it down. What a true and accurate account of the training that takes place in Israel. I would recommend it to my family and co-workers.
Gripping true tale of supreme courage:
The Brotherhood of Warriors tells the true story of a Jewish-Canadian misfit kid raised in Beverly Hills who chose to leave the comforts and safety of his home in California to serve with one of the world's toughest elite Israeli Commando anti-terrorist unit, and doing it with great honor. I salute Aaron Cohen for his supreme courage and sacrifice. It is an amazing story of a young man who willingly risked his life with his Israeli commando warrior brothers, serving the nation of Israel. It is a book... more info
excellent read:
A very informative and enjoyable read. The author gives a complete account of his journey from american kid to modern warrior, and of his service with Duvdevan. Best book of its type and a revealing insight into one of Israel's elite forces. Can't rate it highly enough.
