The Passover Lounge, a completely unique album featuring all new renditions of Passover classics. Craig Taubman joins up with some new friends on 14 tracks that deliver a whole new sound for the Holiday. Building on the success of 2005's Hanukkah Lounge album, The Passover Lounge remixes well-known songs to a chillout, instrumental groove-line. It then adds in more of Taubman himself, as his signature vocals lend a familiar touch to a fresh concept. The Passover Lounge will be the latest in Craig 'N Company's line of 'Instrumental Jew Age Music' that has introduced some of these classic holiday tunes, and Mr. Taubman himself, to a whole new audience. Youngsters and hipsters, old-time fans and fresh faces alike are certain to find something to like about The Passover Lounge, as Taubman provides an unexpected answer to the age-old question, 'Why is this night different from all others?'

Not so lounge-y, not so hot:
Good intentions, but fairly bland results. Take the title with a large grain of salt. This is not lounge music - by any definition - for the most part. Indeed, several tracks tend toward bland soft rock, including the usually boisterous Passover favortie "Dayenu''; the version here is a curiousity just because it's so laid back. Children's entertainer Taubman's voice, heard on several but not all tracks, may be the weakest element.
Real Good Stuff:
Craig Taubman has always been one of my fave singers. And I'm usually skeptical when my favorites try something totally different. But, this album actually works. The track 'Dayenu' is a great example of why. It keeps the traditional melody but turns it into this dance-pop fusion song that sounds like Radiohead with religion. A great idea carried out with skill and style by Taubman.
One of a kind!:
I have loved all of the Celebrate Series compilations, but the Passover Lounge breaks new ground. It is creative and bold music the redefines the Passover experience. Get it...and, you'll get it!
Shelly:
We love this. Passover Lounge creatively adds a contemporary element to the traditional. This CD is refreshing and meaningful.
