In THE NAKED JUNGLE, Charlton Heston plays the powerful, brooding owner of a plantation in the wild and treacherous South American jungle, while Eleanor Parker plays his charming American mail order bride. He is wary of this beautiful and talented woman, and wonders why she would leave America for the rigors of jungle life. But with the advance of relentless killer ants making their way across the jungle, the two find their relationship changing as they fight to save the jungle.

Interesting Is it scfi?:
Charlton Heston's early days. Drama for the most part BUT having this magnificant ScFi type ending. The whole film hangs on the ending.
It shows how special effects can tell the story not be it.
On the whole an "interesting film".
Wonderful Classic:
This movie is in the best tradition of the romantic adventure. Heston and Parker sparkle together, and are a perfect team. Their very clashes have a wonderful chemistry, and with both stars in their prime, you couldn't ask for a more pleasing image to watch. The plot itself is classic, with enough twists to keep it interesting. I've loved this movie since I was a little girl- I've probably watched it 20 times, and plan to keep watching it every so often!
Oldie but a Goodie:
This is a great action/romance flick featuring Charlton Heston as the owner of a cocoa bean plantation in the South American jungle. The film consists of a two part plot involving 1)the arrival of a beautiful bride played by Eleanor Parker and her developing relationship with Heston, and 2)the more ominous impending arrival of a relentless swath of ants eating everything and everyone in its path. Great movie and I was pleasantly surprised at how fast it arrived..
Love the oldies..
