Several earlier reviewers complained about the poor quality of the non-stick finish and some paint peeling issues. If you order the parchment paper sheets with this item, you will incur no such problems. You won't have another item to clean; you can stack the burgers for freezing or in the fridge and they will separate neatly. I like this item better than other burger presses that I have used. Not so much non-stick:
The best part of this product is the changeable patty size. But it was a pain to clean because you have to take the whole thing apart. And the patty DID stick but after I figured out I really had to smack the patty together before putting it in there it did better.
HOMEMAKER:
This is the best gaget i have bought in a long time. i had a burger maker [ a 3 piece job] i didn't use much as it really didn't do a good job as i don't have a lot of strength to push down on the hamburger. This is so good, not hard to use at all, it has a GOOD HANDLE OR USE THE TOP KNOB TO PUSH DOWN THE TOP TO FORM THE HAMBURGER. Every one should have one i think its a good gift idea, TRY IT AND I BET YOU'LL LIKE IT. i'LL GET ANOTHER ONE IF AND WHEN THIS ONE BREAKS, I DON'T THINK IT WILL.
GOOD PATTIE PRESS FOR THE PRICE:
When I bought this press the only item that I had on my criteria list was that it had to shape various weight hamburger patties. I was not into major production line work. This press was perfect for me.
This press is not complicated. There's not many moving parts. If this press is not abused my great, great, great . . . grandkids should be making burger patties with it.
