Jewish Standards with a Modern Flair:
This is a great introduction to Sam's music for those starting to explore contemporary Jewish music. There's a delightful reggae twist to "Kol HaOlam Kulo." Listen to the way "Dodi Li" morphs into "Miserlu" (yes, Dick Dale got the tune from the mid-East). Sam's sideman Mat Gurman's searing guitar on "Leyv Tabor". "Bashana Haba'a" now has a Latin flavour! My favourite is the heartfelt rendering of Naomi Shermer's "Yerushalayim Shel Zahav" with an added English verse by Sam.
