Not worth the money: 
Don't waste your money on this one. Very little substance. A much too quick of a read for so high a cost. If you are interested in this type of subject matter, buy his other book instead - "The Untold Story of the New Testament Church: An Extraordinary Guide to Understanding the New Testament". It covers the same material only in much greater detail.
A good reference or study work:
Frank's research and scholarship are good as always and make this volume a great read and a handy guide for viewing the New testament narrative from a chronological perspective. Frank's views on church organization and leadership come through clearly; if you're not familiar with them, read some of his other works before using this as a study guide.
Another Great book by Frank:
If your into a more narrative form of reading, you will like this book.
If you are into a reading format more similar to study material where information is grouped for ease of future reference, you will also want Franks "The Untold Story".
