Good in an ideal world:
This book is well written and provides a lot of great ways to approach score study. The book is written for people who are going to remain in college teaching I think. I think the process is excellent, but I highly doubt many band teachers have to time to approach scores like this. I also don't think this is the best book for a college student. I would read some of the works by Peter Boonshaft first. Overall, I think this book is well presented, but not practical for many.
