To better understand the 'davvaning':
I often have this Machzor with me on the holidays. I find it especially helpful when I want to know the meaning of the lines of the 'Piyyutim'. The translations are not always elegant but they are I believe true to the basic meaning. And even though I know Hebrew quite well, I often need the English translation for understanding.
I also commend what might seem to some, the very literal explanations given of various parts of the service in this Chumash.
