For the Commentary:
'Artscroll' provides a detailed informed commentary along with the translation in English and the original facing Hebrew text. I do not davven with the 'Artscroll' but have it with me when I want to look up the meaning of a particular phrase, or deepen in the understanding of a particular sentence or paragraph. This commentary enriches the whole experience of the 'Davvaning' although I might add that on the High Holidays the commentary is secondary. i.e. One must not allow oneself to be too distracted by...
