My purchase of Simontacchi's book came at a good time for me. I have been on the chubby side for most of my life and I was tired of it. I had heard too much negative about the fen/phen drugs but wanted something that would curb my appetite before I sat down to the table. One thing I like about Simontacchi's book is that in addition to a discussion of Chitosan, she includes a discussion of carnitine as an additional fat metabolizer. According to the directions on the Chitosan bottle...I take two to four capsules about one half an hour before meals.
