A Real Feast:
This book is everything I hoped for, a beautiful, simple, feast for the eye and the mind. The delight the author takes in explaining the "why" of things was paired with her obvious love of the process. A delightful book!
My "Go To" baking book:
I haven't yet tried every single cheesecake here yet, oh but I will! One of her signatures is the thick crust on the bottom of the cake. They simply look delicious.

Brittany Butter Cookies Page 124- One Star for this Recipe:
They may have corrected this recipe for subsequent editions but let me tell you about the recipe in the first edition. Let's see what's wrong with this recipe. Recipe says "roll dough to 3/4 inch thickness". Picture indicates a much thinner cookie roll-out. I'll bet they're supposed to be 1/4 inch. Headnote says " makes 2 to 3 dozen cookies". You might get 2 dozen out of this recipe if you make the cookies a little thinner.
