No secret oral tradition as extensive as this has ever been recorded, and none has ever presented a Gnostic view of Mary Magdalene as she is portrayed in this groundbreaking work--as a powerful holy woman, the innermost disciple, beloved wife of Jesus, and a Christed woman who is coequal with Jesus in the Christ revelation.

Two ways to understand truth in history:
It is a dialogue with yourself you will end up with after reading this book.
Why the Vatican is holding precious information about Maria Magdalena?
I think because women in ancient history and medieval times were not very much rescped by the church.
Another thing, fables about the divinity of Jesus was questioned by serious priests.

Disappointing:
I have a great respect for Mary Magdalene and have always been interested in her relationship with Jesus (even before the Davinci Code)but this book is basically pure fiction. Magnificent!:
In over twenty years of mystical study I have never come across a book that has so illuminated the teachings of St. Mary Magdalene and Yeshua (Jesus). When one considers the parables, some included in the traditional New Testament, some presented here for the first time (to me), with both mind and intuition and heart, one experiences what can best be described as the "fullness" of the Gospels. Truly, we have been recipients of only half of Jesus' teachings. The Magdalene represents a compliment to Jesus... more info
