this is a faboulous dictionary because it is very concise and simply gives you the equivalent word in hebrew. it does not go through all the different appearances of the words as does the jastrow, which is makes it much quicker to find a translation. it also lists many common talmudic idioms and phrases as separate entries, which can be very helpful. a must-have for any student of the talmud.
Excellent Talmudic Dictionary:
Unlike the Jastrow, in which you must look up basic verb forms in order to get the derivations, in this dictionary, since it is confined to the Babylonian Talmud while the Jastrow covers more texts, there is more space so common verb forms and even conjugations are listed separately. In the Jastrow, the definitions are longer and there are examples of context, but this dictionary simply puts one Aramaic word into the equivalent Hebrew word.
