It's the story of an epileptic teenager nicknamed Spaz, who begins the heroic fight to bring human intelligence back to the planet. In a world where most people are plugged into brain-drain entertainment systems, Spaz is the rare human being who can see life as it really is. When he meets an old man called Ryter, he begins to learn about Earth and its past. With Ryter as his companion, Spaz sets off an unlikely quest to save his dying sister -- and in the process, perhaps the world.

I would give this book a four. It is a very good book and has words that are easy for little kids. There is a dictionary in the back of the book with the words that they use in the future hat you wouldn't know what they meant. There was a boy who got a message that his sister was about to die. He ties to get there, but goes through a lot of bad things on his way there. I gave this book a four because there are some parts that I got stuck on. I had to reread that part. I think it is just because... more info
Aleksi, Book Review:
I would give this book, The Last Book in the Universe, by Rodman Philbrick, five stars. I liked this book very much and I would give this book the full points, because it was so exciting, and there weren't any boring parts in it. There was a horrible place called the Urb, where the normals lived, and there was a perfect place called Eden, where the proovs, genetically improved people lived. I think that "the Eden" was very different from the Urb, but still quite same kind of place than nowadays normal... more info
The last book review in the universe:
I would give this book; The Last Book in the Universe by Rodman Philbrick four stars because it is good in every part of the story. It is also an good book because it has great characters and great events. There is a boy named Spaz and he is in the future one thousand years from now. He lives in a place called a latch with a gang called the Bully Bangers. After a couple weeks Spaz meets a man named Ryter and he goes on a journey with him to find out if he is the last book in the universe. My opinion of this... more info

I thought this book was a great book, rating 5 stars. The book was about a future where they are no plants or rivers and everyone rots out their brain with things called mind probes. I liked just about every part of the book, especially the beginning part where Spaz talks about Billy because it tells a lot about Spaz. I also like how they talk in this futuristic book; they have different words for everything. My favorite character was an old person named Ryter.
Ryter was nice to Spaz... more info
