I am new to this bread baking because I was always intimidated. This book erased all my fears. It is fantastic. I find myself going back to read in it almost daily. They make everything so easy. So far I have only made the master Boule recipe. I have to say that it is very simple to make, and the bread looks beautiful when it comes out. The taste to me was bitter and not what I expected. The second batch I made, I added 1/3 cup sugar and cut the salt by 1/3 and it was much better. Haven't tried the other recipes yet, but I hope they get better. So Easy Even I Can Do It!:
I try so hard to buy only healthy bread for my family but anything that has its first ingredient as "whole grain" is $3 or more per loaf! It was just easier to buy the $1 bread, especially in this economy! Then I read about Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day in a magazine and started researching it.
